When we first met Marcus, he suffered from a severe crossbite. Instead of your teeth meeting together normally, with your upper teeth overlapping your lower teeth slightly, in a crossbite nothing meets where it should. As a result, your teeth can develop wear facets in unusual places and no amount of restorative work can remedy this as it will keep occurring until the occlusion is corrected.
To correct this for Marcus, we first used orthodontics. Once his occlusion was corrected, we needed to remedy his heavily worn and fractured upper front teeth. Crowns were placed on his four upper front teeth and now Marcus can’t stop smiling!
